Jennifer Lopez isn’t going to let a pandemic get in the way of her real estate prowess. The superstar recently shelled out close to $1.4 million for a cozy single-story home in Encino, according to Variety, adding to her and Alex Rodriguez’s growing collection of homes spanning everywhere from Bel Air to Malibu, Miami to Manhattan.
Situated on 0.13 acres on a corner lot, the house measures 2,202 square feet and includes three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, a substantially more modest offering compared to the pair’s other properties. (It’s possible that Lopez and Rodriguez purchased the home for a relative or as an investment property, given that they’re currently spending time at Rodriguez’s sprawling Miami mansion.) Built in 1948, the house has a red tile roof and cream-colored stucco walls; the understated exteriors give way to sleek modern interiors that have been recently renovated. Wide-plank hardwood floors, stark white walls, and charcoal-colored vaulted wood ceilings lend a feeling of elegance and minimalism to the combination living/dining room area.
The kitchen, which was newly installed earlier this year, is open to the family room, and features heather gray cabinets, snow white countertops, and stainless steel appliances, all surrounding a center island that doubles as a breakfast bar. A set of French doors opens out onto a covered patio, where there is space for a cozy lounge area or outdoor dining room. The home’s sleeping quarters include two guest bedrooms that share a large bathroom, as well as a master suite with lofted ceilings, two closets, and an upgraded white-and-gray bathroom with dual vanities, a sleek modern deep-soaking tub, and glass-enclosed shower. Out back, there is a 200-square-foot home office situated behind the detached garage.
In addition to their newest real estate acquisition, Lopez and Rodriguez also own, between them, a Malibu beach house they bought from Jeremy Piven last year for $6.6 million, a $28 million Bel Air mansion that Lopez bought in 2016, a $20 million Manhattan penthouse that Lopez has had on the market since 2017, and a number of homes in Miami, including Rodriguez’s aforementioned Coral Gables estate.
