Movers, Moving Dates, Valuables, Returning to Campus
Q: Are moving services first-come, first served? Will you have a cap on the number of students who can receive assistance?
A: There is no cap on the number of students who can receive assistance. However, we do require that you inform Housing of your need for moving assistance through the forms that have been sent to you, which is also available on the UNCSA Housing Portal. The deadline to request moving assistance is Dec. 12, 2021.
Q: How will you address valuable items the students want to move on their own?
A: Students may choose to move all or select belongings. Only items packed in labeled and sealed or closed boxes and containers will be moved for students who signed up for moving assistance by Dec. 12, 2021.
Q: How many boxes are students allotted?
A: While we have ordered enough boxes for all students, we understand that some students may require fewer boxes, while others may need more. We ask that you use as few boxes in your packing as possible, realizing that everyone’s packing needs vary. Boxes and packing tape will be available in The What and Lofts Office (Lofts, Room 103) and pickup can be scheduled through Residence Life. We ask that you return any unused rolls of tape to ensure everyone has the supplies they need to pack and move. It is your responsibility to collect the packing supplies you feel you need.
