Online art exhibit brings artist talks from NJCU - NJ.com

While New Jersey City University’s BFA Thesis Exhibition won’t physically take place on campus until the Fall 2020 semester, you can still enjoy an online iteration of the exhibit at https://bit.ly/3bb8Wey.

The exhibition features BFA students, graduating with concentrations in ceramics, graphic design, illustration, jewelry, painting and drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. On following days, each will give an artist talk via Zoom.

The first virtual artist talk will take place on Wednesday, May 13, from 5 to 6 p.m. The talk will feature guest critic Doris Cacoilo and BFA candidates Asma Abibakar, Natasha Forbes, Gabriela Gomez, Raeef Hanna, Marcos Renderos, Michael Spadol, and Jasmine Shaw.

The Ziccardi Award Ceremony will follow from 6 to 7 p.m. during which two of the BFA recipients, Aminah Chaudhary and Junior Mejias, as well as, Angelica Garcia and Charles Tavares will talk about their award-winning artworks. Another artist talk will take place on Friday, May 15, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. with guest critic Jeanne Brasile and BFA candidates Karla Almonte, Marjelyn Alvarez, Brian Bransky, Olivia Boules, Katy Burdge, Justin Cannon, Julio Huamantup, Ailyn Lopez, Steven Mosquez, and T’ana Salinas.
