ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. -- On Sunday, Terrence Hill was busy. Like everyone, he was shocked by the news of the death of Chadwick Boseman. Boseman, known best for his iconic portrayal of superhero Black Panther, passed away due to cancer.
Hill is a leather artist. He does sculptures and portraits in leather. He was inspired to show Boseman in his iconic role with a leather portrait.
He’s done many portraits of famous people throughout the years, and many of his works are in museums and other places all over the world.
He also has a more personal and poignant reason to do a portrait of Chadwick Boseman. Recently, Hill himself was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He’s been undergoing chemotherapy.
In spite of this health concern, Hill remains very upbeat. And as a person of faith, he told us it’s an opportunity to do some good work and pass on his legacy.
Speaking of legacy, Terrence Hill also tells us, he is teaching his grandchildren how to create works of art with leather.
