FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Hill Records, a University of Arkansas student-run label, is now accepting submissions from musical artists now until March 5 for consideration in the label’s inaugural artist release.

Submissions of all genres are encouraged and are limited to one 10-minute recording per artist. Submissions from artists from all locations are being accepted, with preference given to artists from the state of Arkansas or who have an affiliation with the U of A.

Participating artists must control ownership of the recording and songs embodied on their submitted recording. Submissions should be mastered or fully mixed original recordings.

Selected submissions will receive a five-year exclusive licensing agreement for use of their recording; have the opportunity to appear at selected live events during the course of promotion; and have the opportunity to purchase artist-development services that include, but are not limited to, social media marketing, booking, management, directional assistance and traditional media promotion.

Hill Records is a multi-unit collaborative project funded through a grant from the U of A’s Chancellor's Fund for the Humanities and Performing Arts. The label’s student team will evaluate all submissions and selections will be made solely based on artistic merit.

Complete submission instructions can be found at hillrecords.uark.edu/submissions.

For questions concerning submissions please contact hillrec@uark.edu
