In celebration of its "outstanding graduating young artists," the Muses Project will present a Young Artist Showcase, a free concert featuring Camila Holden and Abbigail Robertson from Hot Springs World Class High School and De'Courtneyous Miller from Henderson State University, at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Muses Cultural Arts Center, 428 Orange St.

The Muses will showcase these graduates, who will be joined by their talented colleagues of the Young Artist Troupe, in special solos, duets and ensemble performances of various musical selections, a news release said.

"These passionate, hardworking, and brilliant young artists embody the Muses' philosophy of inspiring excellence, joy, creativity, hope and 'possibility' as they pursue a life of purpose, knowledge and mastery in the arts," the release said.

Also performing will be students from the Muses collaborative pianist, Kristen LaMadrid's piano studio, Abi and Julia Liga and Thomas Sinclair.

The Muses Project directly mentors, selected high school and college students, as well as young resident performers, through its Young Artist Program.

"These interactions enable students and aspiring performers to benefit from professional training and mentorship in collaboration with seasoned professional performers; giving these particular young artists lessons in the craft, instruction in stage presence, competency building, and provides unique 'real world' professional performance experiences, not found within traditional academic environments," the release said.

According to honors graduate Holden, her participation "has taught me firsthand the unmatched healing power and purpose that the performing arts can offer, and I cannot begin to express the life-changing effect this has had on my personal and professional development."

Holden obtained a "full-ride scholarship" to the University of Notre Dame where she will double-major in Vocal Performance and Political Science.

Robertson, an "exquisite dancer" and scholarship recipient, will pursue a Fine Arts in Ballet and Modern Dance degree at Texas Christian University.

Honors graduate Miller will pursue a master's degree in Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas.

A "love offering" will be collected Sunday. All proceeds go to assist graduates in their academic and artistic pursuits. Visit https://ift.tt/3hDOKc0 to donate online or call 501-609-9811 for more information.

"Come, celebrate and be inspired by talented young artists, who are central Arkansas born and bred, at the Muses' Young Artist Showcase," the release said.

The Muses Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to "preserve classical Arts through performance and education."
