A local artist will host a new “Double Rainbow” art show at the 8th Avenue Art Gallery.
Justin Alsedek will host the art show on Saturday, November 6, from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the gallery, which is located at 1531 NE 8th Avenue in Ocala.
“An explosion of color will tear through Ocala answering the age old question, ‘which came first, the Flamingo, or the egg” reads a social media post from Alsedek.
Alsedek’s art work is featured all over the city, including the large, Creative Refuge mural that adorns the outside courtyard of the Brick City Center for the Arts in downtown Ocala.
The event will feature over a dozen large works from local artist, Justin Alsedek’s recent series “Uncertainty’s Rainbow.” The back studio will include several paintings from the artist that he has prepared over the past couple of years, as well as a large selection of prints for sale.
Food will be available for purchase from food truck MexiRican, and music will be provided by Charity Cox. Starting at 7 p.m., beer and wine will be provided by Infinite Ale Works.
