There are all kinds of uniquely talented artists on social media. Some people are highly ambidextrous to the extent that they can even draw with both their hands and feet at the same time. Creativity took a novel dimension when a man from South Africa used makeup to create stunning portraits. But have you ever seen an artist using sunlight to carve portraits on wood?

Vignesh describes himself as India’s first sunlight artist on Instagram. He carved a stunning portrait of ace cricketer Virat Kohli using sunlight that he directed with a magnifying glass. First outlining the portrait on a piece of wood, he directed the magnifying glass over the wood to carve the portrait.

Instagram page indian_artists_club__ posted the video on April 19 and it has amassed more than 1.88 lakh views. In a video posted on his own account, Vignesh shared that in 2019 he suffered from a condition that restricted him to bed. He couldn’t walk for a month and that’s when he discovered a popular sunlight artist from the US. He was impressed by the art form and wanted to try it as well. He would go out in the sun with a magnifying glass and a piece of wood. Art is created by burning the surface of wood using sunlight.
