David Exner is the artist of the month for June at Unison Bank.
Exner, owner of E Bar X Studio, has his western artwork is on display.
Exner is a native of Jamestown and a 1985 graduate of Jamestown High School. He is a graduate of the University of Montana.
He moved to Montana in 1986 and attended NW Outfitters School. He spent several years guiding in the Bitterroot-Selway Mountain range of Montana and Idaho.
Eight years ago, Exner started painting landscapes as a hobby to pass time during the winter. He is a self-taught artist. He said his inspiration for his paintings comes from his time guiding and out his back door.
He and his wife, Jana, reside in Hamilton, Mont., and are the parents of two grown children. David Exner is the son of Jim and Carolyn Exner of Jamestown.
