Kali Picard Art, wanted to do something with her talents for the community. In the wake of George Floyd’s death and the protests that erupted across the nation, as an artist, Picard felt compelled to react to what was happening in the world around her. She started a 5-part portrait art series featuring people of color who have done extraordinary things in the Acadiana community.
