Okay, we’ve talked about the “Art of Ninja” Instagram account before, but it deserves another shoutout!
The account is run by artist Juan Carlos Espinosa, who happens to be a huge American Ninja Warrior fan, and an extremely talented artist. For just about the past year and a half, he’s been posting his work on Instagram and blowing us all away with his ability to capture the Ninjas’ personalities and elevate them to superhero status.
Lately, Juan Carlos’ work celebrating season 12 has really captured our attention.
First, there was this guess at which Ninjas might be part of the new season, showcasing that the year will culminate in head-to-head battles.
This piece honoring Ninja Warrior and ICU nurse Pauline Avila almost had us in tears.
There’s Nate Hansen, who inspired the whole audience with his first buzzer in the Qualifiers. After a lifetime of feeling different from others, Nate’s confidence dominated the course and you can feel that in this image.
This post about the Power Tower match up between Jake Murray and Ethan Swanson looks like an ad for a heavyweight boxing match.
Nick Hanson made the Mega Wall but did not advance. This is fitting tribute to the competitor.
Then Sean Bryan and R.J. Roman met on the Power Tower. We’d be sold on watching that event based on this picture alone.
But then, HOLD ON, we need to buy front row tickets to see Joe Moravsky and Michael Torres!
Katie Lanza ran the course for her son, Nolan, who has already faced so many obstacles in life and he absolutely is the hero this makes him out to be.
And if the tears weren’t flowing already, here’s the artist’s take on the moment Tyler Gillett hit the buzzer for his cousin, Bill, who has stage four pancreatic cancer.
