AVON, Ohio – How many dream of giving up the corporate life for a stab at a new career based on artistic aspirations?
Fairview Park artist, Nada Talevska, did just that and the result is an artform that is fresh with an elegant simplicity that would suffice as a special gift for any woman in one’s life.
Talevska left the corporate world in 2018 beginning her journey, she said, " in expressing myself by creating unique art with pressed flowers.”
The art is of female faces created nearly entirely with plant material but, more recently, she said, she is experimenting with pencil sketching to complement the floral artwork.
Talevska collected blooms and foliage as a way to extend the life of her extensive, beloved garden that she cultivated over many years. Flowers are her passion and she elevates and pays tribute to them with her unique art in floral portraits of women.
“I find inspiration in deconstructing nature’s beauty and reimagining it,” she said. “Each flower portrait is one-of-a-kind and a unique personality emerges with each new face. There are new discoveries and inspiration with each season of blooms.”
Talevska hopes her work will “make sure one’s perspective of nature will never be the same again. Instead of petals, stems and buds one now sees what can become an eyelash, hair, lips and eyebrows.”
Her graceful, polished work is scheduled to be on display at an art show at the Emerald Event Center in Avon from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6.
The Emerald Event Center is located at 33040 Just Imagine Drive in Avon—an appropriate address for Nada Talevska’s exquisite art.
