Socialite con artist turned actual artist Anna Delvey has some mysterious graffiti on her doorstep.
A source tells us that someone keeps painting “Anna!” outside the building where the fake German heiress is under house arrest.
“Someone keeps doing it ever since she moved there,” her rep tells Page Six. “They’ve painted over it, and someone comes back and does it again. We have no idea who.”
The rep added, “I feel like it’s become an iconic piece of street art.”
In April, Page Six revealed that the New York City Department of Buildings had condemned part of Delvey’s East Village home.
A spy told us that there was a “partial vacate” notice on her downstairs doorway saying, “The Department of Buildings has determined that conditions within this premises are imminently perilous to life.”
The sign added, “This premises has been vacated and re-entry is prohibited until such conditions have been eliminated to the satisfaction of the department. Violators of this [order] are subject to arrest.”
The dramatic-sounding notice ended up just being about a busted garbage chute.
“Please be advised that the vacate order posted on the building is for the garbage shaft area,” said another letter from the landlord.
The First Avenue walk-up gained notoriety last January when Delvey (born Anna Sorokin) threw a “Club House Arrest” bash that saw several downtown scenesters signing non-disclosure agreements, and even providing social security numbers to attend.
In 2019, the subject of the Netflix hit “Inventing Anna” was convicted on eight counts, including grand larceny and theft of services. She was also convicted of attempted grand larceny for trying to scam a $22 million bank loan for an arts club.
She was sentenced to up to 12 years, but was released for good behavior in February 2021.
After her release, she was picked up by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and was held at the Orange County Correctional Facility in Goshen, NY.
She was released on bond in October 2022.
