AUSTIN (KXAN) — Last week, lunar lander Odysseus made a historic landing on the moon and carried with it a piece of Austin.
The lander carried an art museum featuring 222 artists and art entries. Entry No. 143 was Austin artist Chacasso’s work called “Save the Artists.”
Chacasso’s “Save the Artists” project has a goal to become “a sanctuary for aspiring artists, providing them with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to pursue their creative dreams,” according to its website.
Chacasso has been donating all proceeds from his art collection to fund the project and is working to launch an app, which is offering beta access to people through buying a piece of art for $14.30.
