PORTLAND, Ore. — Your Portland bus rides are getting much more colorful this June: TriMet is rolling out a bus decorated with an artistic rendition of the LGBTQ+ flag!
To recognize Pride Month, TriMet is debuting a bus featuring art by Portland artist Daniel Quasar, entitled “From Progress To Beyond.”
"Daniel's design serves as a vibrant tapestry of inclusivity and representation," TriMet says You can see this bus on the streets for the next year, or at the Portland Pride Parade on July 21!
The agency has previously celebrated Pride in a similar way. In 2022, TriMet unveiled a bus clad with some of Oregon's prominent LBGTQ+ figures like famous drag queen Darcelle XV.

Earlier this week, Oregon Governor Tina Kotek made an official proclamation declaring the month of June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Oregon, and encouraged Oregonians to observe and celebrate.
Portland has been a major site for Pride celebrations for years, including Pride parades, bicycle rides, a TriMet LGBTQ+ Pride bus, an entire Portland Pride Waterfront Festival, and more.
This year, a similar lineup of activities are happening throughout the month - which you can get to by taking the TriMet Pride Bus!
The bus will be on the streets for the next year as well as on display at the Portland Pride Parade on July 21.
