MOSCOW - The City of Moscow Arts Department has announced online registration for the annual Palouse Plein Air painting competition is now open through September 8, 2021.
Palouse Plein Air is an annual painting competition that takes place every September, with events including painting workshops and a juried exhibition at Moscow’s Prichard Art Gallery.
Participating artists paint outdoors at any location of their choosing within Latah, Nez Perce, Whitman and Benewah counties. Participants may paint any combination of the competition days, September 9-16. No use of electronic, pictorial or other aids is allowed. All work must be done on location by the individual artist.
Artists aged 18 years or older are eligible to participate. In addition, all painting media are eligible for competition. These media include gouache, watercolor, acrylic, oil and pastel.
Registration is $25 per participant, with student registration set at $20. Qualifying students must be 18 years or older. To learn more about the competition and to register, visit http://bit.ly/ppa2021artistregistration.
