Now, a series of AI art that imagines some of the world’s wealthiest people as underprivileged is going viral.
The series places people like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Bernard Arnault, Warren Buffett, Mark Zuckerberg, and Mukesh Ambani against slums. These billionaires are seen dressed in rags and have hunched-up or lanky body language.
AI artist Gokul Pillai created these portraits and shared them on Instagram. This post has gathered thousands of likes since it was posted on April 8. Pillai used Midjourney, an AI programme that uses text-based prompts to create images.
Commenting on these portraits, an Instagram user wrote, “Just amazing they look real…more like slumdog billionaire”. Another person wrote, “This is gold! But Elon is the only one that still looks rich even when he’s poor lol”.
Earlier this week, a similar AI art went viral that showed Musk and Zuckerberg walking the runway for major fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, and Vivienne Westwood.
